How I managed to transfer all my work from laptop to iPhone

Ever since I was young I wanted to carry as many things that I could with me. Time passed, and technology evolved to a level where you can carry libraries, pens, pictures, movies - altogether in a single amazing gadget: your smartphone.

Nothing new so far, but when it comes to me and my business, it's really hard to keep everything together. I have multiple mails, multiple fb accounts, multiple browsers and so on. When I was using the Nokia N8 I was really disappointed with the way it moved. Don't get me wrong, I loved the 12Mpx camera, the way I was able to shoot photos or record videos. But when it comes to apps, nothing can beat the iPhone.

I just want to present fast some of the apps that I'm using right now on my iPhone. If you like them, search them in Apple Store. So, here we go.

WhatsApp Messenger

AtomicWeb Browser - plenty of options, great features, full screen mode

Opera Mini
- I love the way tabs works on Opera. Great Privacy

Im+ Pro - Allows me to connect multiple chat accounts (Skype included)

DropBox, TeamViewer - Amazing Apps

Dolphine WebBrowser - A really nice browser with amazing graphics

And the bonus:

Official Blogger App
- it allows me to post directly from my iPhone

Google Drive - cloud storage service with 5GB free space

Google is preparing the launch of its own storage cloud service, presented as an alternative to Microsoft SkyDrive service, Dropbox and Box.net.

Google Drive will give every user a 5 GB free storage space and advanced features for editing documents stored online, provided through integration with Google Docs.

The app is available in various versions for Windows PC and Android devices and provides a set of similar facilities like Dropbox service, allowing access to files on any device attached to your account. Modified files are then automatically synchronized to all devices connected.

Because of the large capacity, which involves a considerable volume of traffic carried by Internet connection, Google recommends limiting the use of Google Drive with unlimited traffic connections, such as those provided by Wi-Fi networks.

According to rumors, Google Drive will be made public in early April, so we should see more details soon.

Samsung Phone News

It’s a busy year for Samsung's new products. The company launched another new product early in March, growing their range of GALAXY devices with the unveiling of the GALAXY Pocket. At 11.98mm deep and weighing in at only 97.0g their latest new smartphone got its name due to its compact, portable size. Described by Samsung as ‘an affordable phone for all users’ it aims to bring the capabilities and benefits of Android 2.3 to a wider market.

The GALAXY Pocket has some enhancements to some familiar Android features; the TouchWiz has an upgraded user interface and the text input has been improved to allow quicker, more accurate typing for web searches and messaging. With a spec that includes: 3GB memory, Bluetooth 3.00, a 2-megapixel fixed focus camera, in-built FM radio and integrated Wi-Fi and HSDPA 3.6 connectivity, it includes all the key feature basics that today’s phone users have come to expect. For the social animal in all of us, the device also has social networking features that make all the connecting and sharing with friends and family simple and speedy.

Samsung’s ChatON app, available through Samsung Apps, enables cross-platform communication, allowing phone users to form into a single community. This makes chatting and sharing in multiple formats easier. Another useful app is Social Hub, which enables users to channel all of their email and social networking traffic into just the one inbox, meaning no more switching between apps and screens to keep up with it all. So far, no UK release date has been announced, but Samsung have said that they expect this to happen later this year. A UK price has also not been released yet, but is expected to be competitive. With its Android 2.3 technology, compact size and ‘affordable’ price it is bound to be well worth looking at on http://www.phones4u.co.uk when it comes out.
